Dylan has three major priorities for the Treasurer’s office. He will focus on:
Government Transparency
Dylan will bring Government Transparency into the 21st Century with a visual dashboard of the state budget and publishing "Treasurer's Guides to the System"
Dylan Helmenstine will create short, jargon-free guides to a variety of government systems and a visual public budget dashboard so Wisconsin residents understand how their government and tax dollars work.
School Funding
Dylan will defend public education by working with local leaders to bring private voucher school payment transparency to every property tax bill in Wisconsin
Dylan led the charge to get 93% of school boards to vote together on demanding the Special Education funding our schools were promised. Now, he plans to use the State Treasurer’s office to support local efforts to get property tax transparency for voucher system funding. You deserve to know where your money is going.
State Trust Funds
Dylan will protect and grow the Common School Trust Fund by ensuring it has the staff and experience needed to provide stable, reliable funding to public schools
The State Treasurer helps manage over $1.6 billion in public trust assets for Wisconsin schools. Dylan Helmenstine will protect and grow these funds.
